Nah, tissue rejection alone is a giant barrier. Then you gotta ensure blood supply, have enough connection for the gonads to release the hormones, etc.
I’m fairly confident that it’s possible, it just isn’t a realistic procedure yet.

You can legislate it to the point that it’s only possible to spread or hand to hand, and doing so is illegal. Hell, they could go a step further and make just having a copy of it within your house illegal, even if it wasn’t installable.
In any real terms, that means the only way to keep a foss os is to build it entirely yourself. Not build it from source, but code the source from the ground up. It would take time to happen, but when enough time passes, both only do the skills necessary to do that fade, but hardware changes being closed would add another layer of difficulty. Look at the pain in the ass that android rom developers have trying to get AOSP going on a given device.
I get it, I get the dream of a dedicated and determined underground keeping Linux alove under an oppressive regime, but it isn’t realistic

Well, currently using mullvad because I paid cash and have months left.
However I tried ivpn with their one week option (two bucks!) At their basic plan.
I find speeds better on mullvad, but they’re otherwise comparable. I like both apps fine on android. If I was already on ivpn, I would not switch to mullvad for the minor speed uptick, since prices are comparable and switching multiple devices can be a very tiny annoyance.
In the past, I’ve used airvpn and proton for extended times (over six months). Proton is over priced, speeds were only marginally better than their free options, and iirc they were a pain about linux setup (I could be mixing them up with someone else though).
Airvpn worked great as a vpn. Port forwarding was an absolute cunt to get working for me. I suspect user error to be the biggest factor. Their android app sucks, and setting it up via other methods is preferred. But, at the time, they also lacked the built in ad/tracker blocking that I’ve enjoyed with mullvad and ivpn.
I did use nord briefly at one point. Worked fine, but at the time I was in need of port forwarding, and they had stopped offering that.
The only reason I’m maybe switching away from mullvad is the dubious political alignment of one of its owners. It really does work well for me, and is consistently faster than others I’ve tried, even with multi hop on. Even there, I’m not fully sure that the exact choice made by their part owner is exactly as bad as the common reaction is, so while I am likely switching away, I still can’t really state that it’s horrible to use the service.
The party he donated to has one big issue that’s a hell no for me, but it might not be there for everyone, and other aspects of the party slate are less objectionable, or even agreeable. In other words, I’m not mad at anyone that shrugs the donation off. It ain’t my business to judge people over such a narrow subject.
THAT being said, ivpn really is essentially the same service in terms of functionality. They even have servers that are in the same data centers. There’s several in the US in specific that are 100% in the same center once you go looking at the lists of exits. And I know there can’t be that many exact matches in cities across the world that aren’t from the same location. Since VPNs rent either virtual or hardware space in data centers to provide exits, if a given company doesn’t break from that, you won’t see a major difference between them.

Well, I consider the lgbtq+ community homies by virtue of love and respect, so maybe not a homie homie, as in someone dear to me on a personal level. But definitely in the general sense :)
Tbh, while I am attracted, I also have that sense of awe. Boobies are magical. They feed small people. And they look so nice.

I think it being there is part of the point. It, more than anything else, highlights that the kind of pigeonholing the meme is about comes from a place of ignorance for sure, with a tie towards the same misogyny and bigotry that fuels transphobes.
The femboy in the image is objecting to the term not just for himself, but as part and parcel of hate.

Ah, they just opened up the ability to connect devices to an account. I have it on my tablet and phone simultaneously. The tablet only fetches messages when I open the app though. Not sure if that’s intended, or something about my device, and I actually prefer it to notifications on both anyway; which other messagers do on the same devices.
I’m not sure how it would work on separate profiles on the same device though. If it’s one account, it would seem strange if it did work fully since they’re both linked to the same number/account. Two accounts might work, I dunno

I mean, it’s a basic drawing for illustrative purposes rather than a detailed map. There’s more detailed images out there though.
There’s a difference between removing something, closing off arteries and letting it heal; and trying to connect an organ that didn’t start with the same layout. For that kind of thing, you need a bit more fine control of blood supply. Not impossible, just not as relatively easy as something like a kidney transplant where everything matches overall.
A testicle going into where an ovary normally sits is… Iffy. Slapping an ovary into the abdominal cavity would be easier to a degree, but you’re gong to have to pick and choose where to connect. It’s never going to be without compromise.
As it is, ovarian transplant is tricky. Tiny vessels to connect. They fail part of the time, and that’s due to inadequate blood supply. Again, that’s between two bodies that already had ovaries. That’s still better than when they try to transplant part of the ovary, where the inadequate blood supply tends to lead to menopause in a few years. Hell, that happens sometimes when the outer layer is removed and transplanted back into the same person (it’s done because of cancer or other medical treatments that damage fertility).
Allografts are not exactly magical anyway; like a kidney transplant extends life, but it’s not going to last the same as your own healthy kidney would. That’s exacerbated by the drug regimen necessary to prevent rejection.
Just rough guessing here, but even a fraternal twin gonad swap, where the tissue match is as good as it can get and the age of both parties is identical, you’d get maybe a few years of viable full activity. Trying to do it between people with even less of a match? Even with perfect microsurgery and blood supply, I’m doubtful you’d get a year. Maybe two.
I could be overly pessimistic in that estimate, but I’m basing it on previous successful transplants between family members.
Luckily though! Once someone manages to figure out the right set of techniques, it could extend that by years, maybe even decades. And, the drugs needed don’t really mess with hormone levels, which is kinda the point in this case. Fertility isn’t a factor, though those drugs don’t really interfere there either.
I just don’t see it happening this decade. It’s only been maybe ten years or so since the first ovarian transplant between identical twins led to a successful pregnancy. Never found out if the recipient kept the ovary long term, but it does mean it could eventually be a thing. Surgical techniques take time to refine, but all it takes is one good surgeon wanting to break new ground.
