Trump is literally demented but the ghouls around him are not.
The plan is plainly obvious.
The big guys will bribe him and get exceptions which means their competition who can’t pay are at a detriment.
Trump gets bribes.

Ticket Master has been using dynamic pricing for years at this point and while it is not exactly the same thing it’s pretty close.
The airlines and travel industry has also dipped their toes in this before. It’s why people used to say you should clear your cookies or use private browsing when checking prices because the presence of specific third party cookies could affect the prices you saw.

It won’t, you can already see this happening in tons of industries and markets.
The glorious k shape economy means the middle of rapidly shrinking and all the money to be made is at the extremes of the spectrum. You can already see tons of brands increasing prices or pivoting away from non “luxury” offerings.
Soon there will only be Emirates and RyanAir and Delta doesn’t want to be RyanAir.

People in software development who use AI to code don’t realize how many white collar mid level admin people have started totally phoning it in using LLMs. I’m mildly curious to see how long they can ride this out.

It’s also just practicalities of the industry. You can write interactive elements on a site with minimal JS and some guys blog which could just be an MD file shouldn’t need 10mb bundles of JS. However when you do need to shift more in to the application on the web side of things and you need front-end developers it’s far cheaper and easier to source spa devs, there is just more of them.

The company I worked for used to use SSR which was fine but the web scraping was relentless and the “free” thing we offered was relatively computationally expensive. Eventually we moved to SPA and bought into the CloudFlare protection racket. This didn’t stop it of course but it made the low effort scrapers have to use a browser and hopefully bumped their costs us The advent of the LLM crawlers has made everything worse as well.
We got a bunch of complaints when we moved to the JS only site saying we were ruining the Internet and while I didn’t disagree the practicalities make it a requirement.

Or just keep back ups and reinstall the OS.
Honestly I’ve been using Linux for like 15 years and there have been times that just reinstalling which takes 45 minutes would have been the fastest and easiest solution to a problem I will likely never encounter again.

When it’s not in a context they are used to they don’t even notice and are fine.
Currently I suspect this is greatest in restaurant menu board are art. At least that is where I notice it the most.
