Well it was instantly in the sense of immediately picking up, putting me on hold for 2 minutes, getting some info, putting me on hold again for 2 minutes, asking what issue was, waiting 2 minutes, heard them put me on hold briefly again, then about 5 minutes of apologizing while saying it will be refunded and replacement shipped. I could hear a call center like atmosphere in the background with quite a few people talking so I’m guessing it was all hands on deck.
Next time this happens I’m going to call a few places and see about getting some free shit. Screw these companies, I paid enough with my time and their stupid bot answering system.

It was a good time to call customer service for a lot of products. Instantly got a human when I called newegg and she was so scattered she gave me a full refund and they paid for my replacement which was a total of $900. They were probably so overloaded with calls they’ll never notice what happened. They even did the fastest delivery option on a Sunday, it’s already on its way!

I’ve got a Pixel 9 I keep for development and uninstalled that system app a few months ago. It’s still gone. Maybe updates are reinstalling it but saying that it cannot be uninstalled or removed is a lie.

I like the one that thinks wet potholes are pedestrians so it will just stop while I’m fucking driving in traffic. Absolutely beautiful technology you got there.
I especially love the ones that beep all the fucking time and shake my steering wheel into thinking I blew a tire cause these motherfuckers think my shitty roads with poorly marked lane dividers are me drifting off the road.
The real icing on the cake are the new cameras facing the driver who ask me to remove sunglasses when driving on a sunny day to confirm my eyes are on the road.
Holy shit, fuck car manufacturers! I am never buying any of these smart ass cars.

Most of these issues cover the same games, so their total # of games is greatly misleading.
Also the bias of Windowscentral is widely known. They are quick to trash GOG whenever they get a chance. I wonder why…
And the biggest annoyance is these are Developer issues. Steam probably has close to 100k games that are in similar issue states because developers do not always update every single platform to the latest prod release. This is not just a GOG platform problem.
Hell Playstation Store’s and Nintendo Switch ported games from PC are almost always several updates behind and constantly miss content that sometimes never gets fixed. Just look at Oblivion Remastered.

I used hibernate nearly every day in mid 00s. Then when one of my hard drives fried from what look like hibernate I never went back to it.
It seemed useful in the days of taking 5-10 minutes to start a PC but nowadays it’s up in less than 1.
