I might try this. Im concerned that some of the books may still be under copyright. Not all of my rare books are that old. I collect indie poetry books and comics as well as old religious texts/pamphlets.
Also concerned that some might be literally some of the only remaining copies and I really don’t want to risk damaging them.

Pretty unlikely.
The way the kernel devs seem to be using LLMs isn’t really going to lead to any bugs that wound’t have snuck in anyways.
I’m not a tech bro or AI apologist. I’m choosing to skeptically trust Linus in this case. Based on my understanding of how it’s being used, I don’t think we have a lot to worry about.
That being said I wish he would STFU about it because the “Linus is pro-AI now guys” headlines are not doing the world any favors.

Yeah. My point though is that’s on purpose. The tools being built are not meant to help workers. It’s meant to replace them. Which it can’t really do. Which is why none of this makes sense and everyone is flailing.
