It’s a brute force hack that adds tiny details no one will ever notice during actual gameplay, at the cost of the majority of your frames

I don’t think asking someone a trick question in an interview is a good way to gauge if they’ll push back and ask questions on the job. Also, I think that behavior is more related to the employer creating an environment where employees feel safe doing that, and isn’t really something you can draw out of a candidate during an interview, of all times.

Your candidates aren’t mind readers though. If you want people to ask clarifying questions, you have to ask them things other than comp sci trivia questions.

Some of the Ace’s that I go to have a popcorn machine that you can just grab free popcorn out of, so you’re not far off with the third space thing. Every time I’m in there I learn something new from one of the 70-year-old retirees that only have a job there to get out of the house, and desperately want to share their DIY home improvement knowledge. Last time I went an employee ended up pulling out his phone and showing me progress pics of his bathroom renno lol

You guys hiring? How’s your benefits package?
I learned how to sweat copper so I could replace some shoddy plumbing in my house done by a previous owner, and that brought me more pride and joy than anything I’ve done in my 10-year career as a developer. I’d but a copy of this in a heartbeat.
