Other than the plagiarism, butchering of a classic IP, and fad genre bandwagoning?
It’s a grindy game in a genre that otherwise caters to F2P but comes with an extra $40 price tag. It’s also just plain bland and soulless, which really represents how far Bungie has fallen as a developer. The only thing they can really do is give bad consulting advice to other Sony studios on how to make live service games, which has not worked out yet for even one of them. And Destiny died for this game to happen.
Not to mention that it makes Sony money. Regardless of how defeatist it is or how little the general public cares, they remain on my personal “do not buy” list.

They also put out Ghost of Yotei and Marathon (yikes).
Marvel Tokon too if you count console exclusives that are also on PC.
Edit: Whoops, I forgot Ghost of Yotei was late last year. Unless you’re counting fiscal year starting in October I guess.

Does have me wondering what the Austrian legal system is like (where Denuvo is headquartered). Seems hard to set a court decision when the accused hasn’t even been identified. Can they even prove it’s a single person?

Ideally you want a game that can both milk whales and isn’t hemorrhaging players nonstop. Maybe the whales keep paying, but there’s a reason they stopped publishing subscriber counts about 10 years ago.

WoW Forever is…interesting. Definitely not for me, but curious to see where it goes.
It seems like a tacit acknowledgement that the modern game has been a series of missteps, so they’re going back to basics and starting over. Just a big redo with different decisions and lessons learned.
I just can’t help but look back on the “You think you do, but you don’t” statement about classic WoW, and now they’re basically putting their entire future into it.

Yep. They’re moving it to a request that you can’t say “No” to, only “Not now”. Eventually they’ll forego the request and just slap it into a “By using this device, you agree to…” statement.

Publisher. Someone to fund the project in exchange for a share in the profits.
Though with Sony, they also had access to the Decima Engine that was used for Death Stranding, so I’d guess that they’re probably cut off from that as well. But it looks like their other game OD is using Unreal Engine, so it looks like they’ve already started transitioning away from that.

I think the characters are relatively average sized for a human. The planks are maybe just wide. Some floors are like that.

Just to add, it’s a far better resource than my old Oxford Latin Dictionary (overpriced garbage today) for translations, and I really appreciate that they break down all Latin terms by declension (including a declension chart) or with verb principal parts (and their own conjugation charts).

Maybe controversial opinion, but I don’t think straight guys (or gals) really belong at gay bars.
There used to be a gay bar in my area. Eventually it was mostly straight women. And then it didn’t take long after that before it was mostly straight men. Now there are zero gay bars.

That and just the animals they are. Frogs can stick to walls, and goats can climb up incredibly steep inclines. It’s not a perfect right angle, so the goat is able to walk on it.

I just wish it wasn’t Horizon. Art style looks cool, gameplay could be fun, but I think it is so tonally dissonant from the other games in the series to the extent I no longer feel as invested in the setting.

If my place of business goes bankrupt, is Google going to get access to my employment records? The memes I share in work chats? My disciplinary record? My bank account details I used for direct deposit?
If someone puts that they worked at Spirit on a resume, what is the likelihood that job openings will start to query these things to see how far they can lowball someone on wages, or whether they’re a “difficult” employee? This is shit that runs the risk of following someone for life.

That one is also safe to remove, but that one is a bit older and is apparently just for verifying contacts in E2EE messenger apps. Smells like spyware to me but Google provided no more context in the description than that so I’m not inclined to trust it.
Just be aware that it will likely bring itself back without notice, either in system updates or just pushed by the Play Store.

There is. There are a few roms available for the GC version that add the swift sail with identical behavior, but it’s only native in the Wii U version.
And to clarify a comment above, there are also still 8 triforce pieces, but 5 of them are found directly in locations that used to yield only triforce charts, with only 3 still requiring charts to find on the open ocean.
But the one best feature that I think cannot be replicated is the Wii U Gamepad menu. It was so convenient to simply have your inventory open at all times and hotswap equipment without having to pause.
Edit: I stand corrected in that last point. If you use a Steam Deck it looks like you’re in luck:

People seek escapism in hard times. 1930’s America was going through the Great Depression, but it was also the start of the Golden Age of Hollywood. People still turned out to go to the movies despite the bread lines and poverty. And people will still buy games if they can squeeze it in the budget, even if there are maybe more “responsible” purchases they could make.

GTA players probably don’t buy as many games. There are gamers who will engage with the medium across dozens of titles catering to various interests. And then there are “gamers” whose entire scope of gaming exclusively covers some combination of FIFA, Call of Duty, and Grand Theft Auto. When you only buy 1 or 2 games a year, sinking $100 on each doesn’t seem as unreasonable as buying 10 games per year at $40.

Had me thinking hypotheticals, that (even before jumping to executions) if there was just an ancient Greek style 10-year ostracism and/or seizure of property that people vote on, it might compel CEOs to start behaving more in the public interest.
But the cynic in me can’t help but feel that it would more likely lead to the CEOs who control the media getting to collectively determine who gets to be that year’s fall guy, running non-stop hit pieces on them while covering up their own misdeeds.
