To be dead is easy. You don’t do anything at all. You can’t do anything, when you are dead. It’s been the same. Exactly.
It’s an interesting perspective on life and death, and what living means. And while he feels like a living dead person, the people who’s lives he’s touched have likely been enriched by his presence, by the person he is, here and now. It reminds me of a line from Don Hertzfelt’s World of tomorrow:
“Live well and live broadly. You are alive and living now. Now is the envy of all of the dead.”
