I was playing overwatch the other day and a random person on my team was yelling at me over and over with a Spanish accent. Really distracting. Since I couldn’t mute him in the middle of a fight, all I did was say ‘no habla’ over mic, and he switched to yelling at twice the speed in Spanish (which I don’t speak) and it immediately got easier to focus lol
I used to work in a spanish company in a tiny office with 4 people, and I found it so easy to tune them out when they were speaking with each other in spanish. Then I worked for a british company, and my concentration just snowballed tanked
“Tanked” might be a better word in this case. “Snowballed” refers to the forming of and accumulation of snow into a ball. Example: If you are having trouble concentrating, you can start small and try to get your concentration to build and “snowball” from there, at which point it will become significantly easier to build on it. If successful, your concentration can be said to have “snowballed.”
oh nice correction, thanks. I was envisioning a snowball cascading down a mountain, dropping in height potential and aggregating in troublesome mass. I’ll change it to tanked though, that does fit better
