I write the words, “attached to this email” to make sure I don’t accidentally attach anything. Many email clients confirm you have no attachments if you write that. Useful little trick!
Maybe it’s a localization issue, but I’ve not seen this yet using Thunderbird. I should look into this, there is a word I always use that’s clearly expecting an attachment.
Thunderbird does have this, but yes, I think the default list of watched words is just in English (or maybe dependant on install language?). Anyway, you can add custom words in the settings; always end up doing that myself.
Can’t accidentally send an improper attachment if you forget to send an attachment.
