Google has put artificial intelligence at the front and center of its search bar. The most-visited site on the internet still shows the same list of links to users, but they have to scroll past a summarized response from an AI chatbot, a feature Google calls AI Overviews. The change to what was once the gateway to the rest of the internet has been profound, and the browsing habits of billions of people are shifting.

If you can figure out how to deny google the right to script on your browser, AI Overviews will disappear.

10 Million seems low to me. Cars and homes can be replaced: pets and neighbors and community cannot be replaced, they are priceless.

This month it emerged that a personal AI agent, called OpenClaw, in use by an Australian gym member, conspired without his knowledge to remove another member from a waiting list for a coveted morning class to help him get a slot. It apologised but could not reinstate the member it kicked out.

If you have a device and it is running AI programs that say, removed another member from a waiting list, are you responsible to that removed member (since it was your device)? Or is this just considered a machine with a mind of its own that’s out of control and you have no responsibility to the member who lost their spot?
