But… If you want to dip your toes into an Arch distro, which may need manual mantainace with the command line from time to time, you will end up having to open the terminal anyway?

Why not get comfortable in Endeavour with a ‘pacman -S’ from time to time?

When I switched to Linux, I thought more distros means more good-er. More choices for people doesn’t hurt.

Now I’m slowling becoming part of the ‘old men yelling at cloud’ team. Arch and Purple Arch (endevourOS) is all you need. (At least for me).

Hmmm. I like that admin + console idea. Might try that when I’m ready for a clean install. Otherwisey current set up is Owner with everything de-googled, and a work profile with a few apps needed there.

I’ve heard that its more ergonomic. Instead of stretching your fingers diagonally to certain keys, they just move forwards and backwards.

Haven’t tried yet because it looks too narrow. Will experiment with a split keyboard if I can find one cheap

I recently learned that the PSVR2 has a PC adapter. All the posts and comments about Linux compatibility are 2years old though.

If the steam frame ends up being my predicted price of $2000+ AUD, I’ll take a chance on the $700 PSVR2 and PC adapter.

I have a couple extra users on grapheneOS, so I can allow students to take pictures, listen to music, etc.
