They’ll probably do it similar to what steam does. Steam has learnt a lot there over the years. It’s definitely a pro if it can be easily repackaged, paths configured and they follow the desktop standards, but it will also work without. People will certainly complain if they have to fix stuff themselves

My last Arch death was updating my 128GB laptop after a year and breaking it with partial updates. (I’m better at partial updates now) It also made me want to, move away from having separate /home partition. It was somewhat sad, since it was the Arch that I installed on the previous laptop and just moved the SSD when I got a new one

think it shouldn’t carry the name Linux, as most of their projects aren’t particularly related to Linux work.
I’d say that’s pretty normal for foundations. The Eclipse Foundation shoulders a marketplace for VSCode/VSCodium and adopted some OS projects. Apache foundation has adopted tons of different projects from IDEs over office software to code forges,

David doesn’t want anything to do with the Linux Foundation anymore because they used AI generated art for an ad/promotion thing.
It had a blue cup with a tux on it in it and a big tux with a 35years head, which I put on Pepper’s cup. It also had a bunch of hallucinations in it

I’d honestly would expect to have a mouse locator. I think on Windows that was the alt key or something like that.
My setup doesn’t have anything like that, but I also see roughly where the mouse is since my tilingmanager gives focus to the window the cursor is over

Also pulling in release messages from git etc would be nice
some wrappers tell you if owners changed since last time
