most of my apps have automated backups. That backup folder is synced to my laptop by syncthing. This way i always have an up to date backup of my mobile. Might indeed be what you’re asking for.

just to remind that, even before photo-manipulation software and digital photography became the default, photographers regularly edited photographs in the darkroom during exposure. It’s not difficult to prevent scars & blemishes from appearing on the final print.

one question though, lets say my phone did get lost and I got a new one. Would I just put syncthing on the new phone to send it all back?
you will need to import those exported backups to your newly installed apps. You can’t sync android’s protected directories.

i hate windows and i don’t use Ubuntu but it’s difficult to consider Microsoft or Canonical as failures.

No it’s not. He can rush it through before the election. No political benefit for him, he can’t get reelected.
He is not alone there. Others around him would have prior preoccupations. I agree with quadrature on this:
Pas content, Macron a déjà annoncé qu’il demandait au gouvernement de revenir avec une nouvelle loi interdisant les réseaux sociaux aux jeunes. Une annonce qui ne sera sans doute pas suivie d’effet, tant le calendrier parlementaire français est bouché d’ici aux élections présidentielles de 2027. Mais c’est par l’Union européenne que cette mesure pourrait revenir. La Commission européenne planche toujours sur une loi européenne pour instaurer une interdiction des réseaux sociaux aux jeunes.

Macron responded to the ruling by instructing Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu to rework the legislation to address the court’s concerns, with the government now targeting spring 2027 for a revised law.
spring 2027? it’s the end of his presidency. His ban is practically dead.
First time I’ve read it, my skull sponge corrected it to “touch grass, kill yourself” and i couldn’t understand. Then words fell back into their places.
