Forcing young people into a uniform serves no useful purpose at all. Schools are already too unfree and it sucks if you can’t wear your usual clothes. Being forced to wear a skirt is even more stupid

Gonneke Stevens, principal investigator of the HBSC research and professor of Youth Welfare at Utrecht University, indicates that in the period 2021-2025 among boys in secondary education, the percentage with a positive attitude towards homosexuality has fallen from 40 to 22 percent. “Girls are more positive about this, but this percentage has also fallen sharply among them. Among girls in secondary education, this is a decrease from 78 to 51 percent.”

Yes, I did and I really do not like that they are using PlayIntegrity for Android phones. That forces everybody in the EU onto unrooted phones which are controlled by google and will kill GrapheneOS and other alternatives.

The article is not that long:
Sweeney noted the industry faces “internal dysfunctions,” such as the high cost of AAA game development, and outside challenges including the ongoing component shortage. “It’s an unexpected, severe disruption,” he said. “There’s an unprecedented wave of investment in building AI systems and data centres, based on the belief that they’re going to have a really transformational role in the economy, and the scale of the economic opportunity there means they can outbid the entire entertainment industry for all the components.” So we’re getting the short end of the stick, and the prices of RAM and storage are quadrupling, and not necessarily stopping there. We should expect there’s just going to be a continual supply crisis for all gaming-relevant hardware for the next three years. The only solution, I think, is going to be building massive new factories to meet the world’s capacity demands – and that will happen."
It’s what you’ve been seeing in the last years: Consoles, GPUs and Gaming PC are getting really expensive. There is a whole generation of younger people now who really can’t afford a gaming PC or that playstation at the newer prices. And that is affecting game developers, because when people can’t afford the hardware, they will not buy the games.
(and what Sweeny is not saying here: If people have less money, they may be able to afford a cheaper PC or a smartphone and will then play on that. I’m playing older, dirt cheap games on my PC and SteamDeck, but that is really shafting AAA-devs)

It is also not reacting to anything - you can bury your gold somewhere and it will be fine after several thousand years. If you try this with bank notes, chances are that they have rotten away or that the central bank has introduced new notes. That makes gold the perfect thing for criminal enterprises.

They would run out of available qualified mercenaries very quickly as there are not that many.
Just a maybe crazy idea: There are millions of young men trying to get into the EU to earn a better living there. They are willing to risk their lives by crossing oceans in not-seaworthy ships. Maybe offer some of them a way to EU citizenship through serving in a EU army?

Just imagine how utterly fucked we would be without our renewables.
People will find a way to show that they have more money and school uniforms really do not prevent this. You can just brag about your expensive watch, phone, perfume and so on. And I really doubt that those custom school district uniforms are cheaper than your main street clothing stores or stores like Primark
