uBlock Origin: Any useful list of "ubiquitous sites" for dynamic rules?

The “enhanced Easy mode” of uBlock Origin consists of the “Easy mode” together with blocking all 3rd-party iframes, and blocking a list of 3rd-party resources from “ubiquitous sites”.

The docs above give the example of Facebook, with these dynamic rules:

* facebook.net * block
* facebook.com * block
* fbcdn.net * block
facebook.com facebook.com * noop
facebook.com facebook.net * noop
facebook.com fbcdn.net * noop

and also mention “Twitter, Google, Disqus, etc.”.

I have two questions about this; can anyone here kindly help me?:

1. Is there a list of URLs for other “ubiquitous sites”? Any that you suggest?

2. Are any of these already blocked by the static rules? For example, I’d think of blocking google-analytics with

* google-analytics.com * block

but I wonder if this is redundant; I suspect such block already takes place in one of the default blocklists. Or?

Edit: After reading the recommendations & arguments at arkenfox, I have opted to remove CookieAutoDelete as well as PrivacyBadger and CanvasBlocker. Instead I have:

• set Enhanced Tracking Protection to “Strict”;
• setup uBlock Origin to level “medium”;
• tweaked some extra about:config entries as recommended here and here, except for privacy.resistFingerprinting.

I’ll also consider setting network.cookie.lifetimePolicy to 2 for having all cookies session-only (apart from whitelisted ones).

I observe a much faster loading of the pages now!

My preference is to immediately remove cookies from domains, as soon as (or just some seconds after) a tab with that domain is closed. Except some whitelisted domains specified by me.

To do this, I’ve used – for years – Cookie Autodelete. But I’ve discovered now that it doesn’t work with Firefox’s Strict Mode (the extension says “strict mode is not supported”).

All in all I think my understanding of Firefox’s capabilities and policies regarding cookies and similar extensions is outdated. I’d be grateful to anyone who can offer insights or links to well-informed sites about this.

What's a *Guyver* doing in *Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken*?

OK the question is partly a joke… But let’s be honest, that’s a Guyver! or at least some sort of clone like Aptom. What’s he doing in Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken? 😂 Curious to hear people’s hypotheses on how he got there. Maybe Otherworlders can come from other parallel Japanese universes too?

Oh yeah I’d like more Zoanoids and Dr. Barcas/Balcus too! Or maybe I’ve actually already seen someone like him in TSSDK?

• I find the person’s answer very disturbing and twisted:

  The battle that can still be won is over whether using them stays a free choice.

  Note how he/she is speaking as if EU was Russia. There’s a regime that governs on us; we can try to fight it. This is not democracy, where the goverment represents the people and the people’s will. Either – very likely – this person has simply accepted (and I don’t know how good such an attitude is) that EU is not a democracy; or they have unclear ideas about democracy.

  “Unless strictly necessary, proportionate and provided by law”: this is not our invention and not undefined. It is the limitation test of Article 52(1) of the Charter of Fundamental Rights, the standard the Court of Justice applies to every restriction of fundamental rights.

  Well they don’t write that in the initiative’s text. They just say “unless provided by law”. This means that if a law passes that mandates chat control, or age-verification for accessing all internet, then it’s OK with them – it’s provided by law now.

  I stand corrected, they specify “Articles 7 and 8 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights” in the Annex. But I still think this is poorly written: why not explicitly mentioning the main message of those Articles in the main text? That “unless provided by law” in the main text is extremely ambiguous without the Annex.
