Was a wild couple of hours on gamingleaksandrumours on the forbidden site. Somehow Final Fantasy 7 and Code Veronica stayed safe.
For anyone curious: KH4 achievements basically revealed all the worlds, the final boss, and some other story things. Persona 6 had achievements for fusions and missions that give away plot points. Proceed with caution if you care about spoilers for any of the games on the list.
Same. I’m a bit into Way of the Sword, and it’s been pretty good so far!
Again, I don’t want to get your hopes up, but the previous rumours about the smaller franchises were based on job postings/hires Capcom was making around 2023/2024. A couple of the team postings specifically had people speculating that there might be a Dino Crisis project of some sort coming, and then we got the Windows port of Dino Crisis 1 and 2 right after, so I don’t think it was for that project. They might be working on porting Stalker and 3 before working on 4, who knows, but I don’t think we hear anything about the franchise before late 2027.
I will say, the new RE Engine architecture seems to really be working for them. They seem to be able to be able to port their older games more easily, and a lot of tech debt they were struggling with previously is gone. I never thought I was gonna see Ghost Trick outside of DS, and yet they just dropped it on the Switch and PC like it was nothing.
