Crunchyroll's vice president admits that despite female fans always being very present in the anime community, they've been historically underserved.
Crunchyroll: “how do we capture an untapped female audience?”
Women: “we are already here…”
Intern: “well we could give them what we give the male audience.”
Women: “you could just ask us…”
Crunchyroll: “brilliant! Have AI gave all the male characters enormous crotch bulges, skimpy clothes, and impossible waistlines!”
Women: “can they even hear us?”

Too much Shounen. Not enough Shoujo or Josei.

If you specifically wanted stuff aimed at female fans both Jaadugar and Journal with Witch definitely qualify.
This is awesome! I’ve seen Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Gurren Lagann and loved them both.
I also really liked the Trigun remake… Mostly due to the intro song which is almost too good somehow. I didn’t really love the animation style, but it was ok.
Re: ZERO sounds like How to Become the Dark Lord and Die Trying by Django Wexler. I really enjoyed it.
