still full of weasel terms like “strictly necessary” and “proportionate”. it’s the “legitimate interest” loophole again.
this is missing the point, anyway: the main concern isn’t how you identify but what requires identification. if your amazing pseudonymous post-quantum ZKP verification service blocks kids from learning about queer gender identity or how to recognise an abusive family relationship because those topics are “adult”, i want nothing to do with it.
I honestly believe the internet should be as anarchist as possible. If you dont want your kid googling “bobies” maybe they should be supervised.
The internet should be as anarchist as possible for small participants of this decentralised infrastructure. The EU got the Digital Services Act kinda right, where only large platforms are even cosidered.
Regulate the shit out of large platforms, but leave small entities alone. That’s kind of the “golden rule” for regulation anyways, if you ask me.
It also forces Android or iOS.
I’m not too optimistic. The name mimics “Stop killing games” and EU didn’t take it seriously despite massive support.
