i kinda like the term “culturally christian”: people who call themselves christian but the sum total of their bible knowledge is those “jesus in the stable” scenes you put up at christmas.

It baffles me that so many Christians have such a shallow understanding of the Bible.
No that’s by design. There’s a reason why it’s studied in the particular way that they do and not like the way historians study it
