California Attorney General Rob Bonta has canceled planned settlement talks with Paramount over the state’s lawsuit seeking to block David Ellison‘s proposed $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, accusing Paramount of acting in bad faith.

Bonta is leading a coalition of 12 states in challenging the proposed merger and asking the court to block the deal, arguing the merger would give the company too much power across cable television and movie production.

The two sides had been due to meet Monday for preliminary discussions for a possible settlement, but Bonta called off the meeting late Sunday, after accusing Paramount of misrepresenting details of an earlier meeting held on Friday.

Vapor World: Over The Mind is a Soulslike Metroidvania with an evocative, painterly art style reminiscent of Lies of P and the narrative platformers of Playdead. According to Korean studio Alive Inc, the game had 100,000 wishlists just before its early access launch on August 19, mostly on the strength of a demo available since January 2025.

But what should have been a triumphant early access launch went pear shaped very quickly. At launch, few talked about the quite distinctive worldbuilding or the parry-heavy combat. Instead, all focus was trained entirely on something absent from the popular demo: very obvious AI use.

I updated my article outlining every game developer using AI. Today I added Saber Interactive, System 3, and Takiya Iijim. I also added new information on Square Enix regarding Dragon Quest and Koei Tecmo and Atelier.

I think I asked before but never got a solid answer. I have a s23, I disable all google and Samsung services I can etc, but I am still stuck with stock android. I plan to move to a better phone in the next year.

However I need a solution for a full phone backup. Not even a sync right now, just plug in and backup all my apps notes and photos (photos are backed up already but I don’t care about doubling up for now.

The reason being I dont want to lose or have my phone stolen and have no backup. I do have FMD installed but still.

This is one big downside of not being fully self hosted yet but refusing to use google products… No instant sync to a new phone if mine is lost.

Experimental feature but can be enabled in firefox stable in Settings, Firefox Labs, Tab notes under Productivity.

I found it really useful for when Im researching something and have lots of papers open in separate tabs. Though Im using it more like tab tags, since notes show up when you hover over tabs. It lets me see at a glance which specific topic a tab is related to if I forget.

What do you all think? I was kinda surprised how little discussion I have seen on this, considering that no other browser have something like it. Firefoxs implementation is pretty smart too, instead of just being a sticky notes widget in the browser (like the one in Vivaldi).

Today’s game is some more Control. I started the Foundation DLC today for the second time. Let me tell you, i forgot how much this cube puzzle pisses me off. I tried to do it once i got far enough that i could. Went and tracked down what i thought was all of them, then spent maybe 30 minutes trying to place them correctly. Only to find out i was missing one. I don’t know if it got knocked off the cliff on accident or what but i couldn’t find it. I had just given up and decided to move on though.

Seeing the Nail is really pretty. It’s one of the most memorable parts of this DLC to me because of the area surrounding it. It gives a really pretty view. If i remember correctly too, as you progress it will get taller which will be fun to watch.

I ultimately didn’t get as far as i would have liked with this one. As the enemies somehow feel harder. I suspect it’s the melee guys now being there to close the gap. So it means a new threat to deal with. I’m trying to avoid touching the difficulty settings though so i’ll try something else instead to get through. Maybe a different weapon loadout.
