Flock takes their privacy very seriously when profiting off of the exploitation of yours. But that ethical gray area in surveillance technology works both ways.

I would love to rock the boat, but the boat is 20 hours away by car and my car is 15 years old… Also drones are expensive and so is gas.
Also the chances of any kind of meaningful change happening from just one oerson rocking the boat is very small compared to if there was mass organizing, which is very difficult in the US due to a multitude of reasons, such as a car-centric culture, billionaires successfully propagandizing the public into blaming each other rather than the elite, global mass surveillance, active sabotage of any even remotely anti-capitalist organizational efforts, etc.

Bookmarked this to watch later, but my fantasy timeline includes crowdsourcing constant surveilence of tech bros, Zuck, Flock execs, data broker CEOs, Brin, and the rest. Livestream every single thing they ever say or do. Speech to text for a searchable archive by topic or location or time. Anyone can go back, see what they did 3 years ago on Tuesday.

Well I guess in practice it is very hard, if legal at all. Zuck travels by private jet. Private limos. Catered meals. Buys out all the houses on his block, for privacy. Doesn’t mingle with the poors. At those levels of wealth, you can carve out a private little corner of the world just for you.
Love this idea. If it’s visible or audible in public,it’s legal to record. It’s a fine line against stalking, so maybe do it with a few hundred of your friends.
Even privatebjets emit a transponder signal. I wonder how hard it would be to sniff this out of the air. Maybe some of our HAM friends would know.

There are websites that will let you view the data across the world. You can use a cheap software defined radio and open source software to listen to and decode local traffic.
More to the topic are websites such as Elonjet which, tracks jets owned or associated with Elon Musk: grndcntrl.net/falconlanding This is all done with public information (Elon has already tried to kill the site, and he banned the owner from Twitter, of course).
