I’m still pissed about how Halo Infinite’s game engine was sabotaged because Microsoft cared more about avoiding employee benefits so they hired 18 month contractors who kept getting fired right when they mastered the new engine.

Cyprus is directly adjacent to EU member states and has a western culture, and has very strong ties to Greece, almost having undergone enosis with it.
That’s literally the same argument you can make on Canada with Britain and France.
We have a land border with Denmark and maritime border with France.
So you’re still drawing arbitrary political lines.
Morocco once applied for membership to the European Economic Community in 1987, which was promptly rejected. Geography and culture do very much play a role.

If a country meets the eu requirements what does it matter where it’s situated. I also support Taiwan joining NATO even if article 5 only covers half of the country.

The rules clearly state that countries must physically be in Europe.
That clearly isn’t the case if you have bothered to look further.
You forgot to mention Cyprus, French Guiana, Saint Martin, Ceuta, Mayotte and Réunion. There’s more exceptions to this arbitrary rule as the bloc evidently has territory in Asia, Africa and Caribbean.
The European Continent is a human construct.

The European Commission has said Brazil has failed to provide sufficient guarantees that its exports meet EU standards aimed at preventing the misuse of antibiotics in livestock farming.
This will affect commodities like poultry, meat, eggs, honey and casing.
In May, Brazil was put on an EU list of countries that do not keep to rules on the use of antibiotics in animals.
The EU is keen to show its vigilance after facing strong criticism from farmers and from France following its signing in January 2026 of a free trade agreement with South America’s Mercosur group of countries - Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay.
Brazil was the EU’s second-largest supplier of beef in 2025, exporting more than 92,000 tonnes worth over €713 million.
The bloc bans the use of antimicrobials to promote growth in livestock and restricts the use of antibiotics reserved for human medicine, as part of efforts to curb antimicrobial resistance.
