Sony went on to say that it takes a “firm stance” against such behavior, which includes examples like “persistent and repeated, or prolonged, demands, excessive or unreasonable demands for compensation or apologies, and abusive language, threats, slander, and other similar behaviors.”
Other examples included “forcing someone to prostrate themselves” and “visiting our offices or related facilities without permission.” If any such behavior is confirmed, Sony says it may “restrict or suspend customer service” to protect its employees — and, if necessary, contact “police, lawyers, etc.” to take legal action or begin criminal proceedings against them.

Corporate titans including Google, Meta, and TikTok will be appearing at Reform UK’s annual conference this week, rubbing shoulders with fossil fuel interests, far-right politicians, and Christian rights groups.
The conference, designed to showcase the party’s policies and politicians, will be attended by figures from some of the world’s biggest tech companies – several of which have donated to funds and projects associated with U.S. President Donald Trump.

I’ve recently put LineageOS on my phone. Two things I really miss from the stock ROM are low battery notifications starting at 10% and powering off at 3% with a loud noise 30 seconds prior so I can rush to charge the phone before it shuts down. Currently with Lneage it just silently dies at 0%.
How do I add those missing features to Lineage? I know this should be possible with Tasker or the like, but maybe there’s a cleaner way?

I’m looking to buy some security cameras for my mother in law. I currently have a small server with plenty of storage at my place that I’d prefer to use on at least a temporary basis to keep costs down. Are there any self hostable cameras that support a built in VPN? I currently use tailscale for my network but I’m open to learning something else. Alternatively, can they run over a tailscale subnet router? I don’t use that yet but if I could place a cheap node in her place to help her access footage and my other services via subnet routing I’ll do that too.

also, i’ve ditched imagefilp! i found the original meme on knowyourmeme and cleaned it up a bit using pixelorama and krita (it’s perfectly square now, and the dividing lines are pixel-perfect. i also fixed the background, which was very noisy, since that makes it difficult to recolour).

I've been increasingly getting into the idea of hosting some servers for classic PC games like Counter Strike 1.6 and various Half-Life mods, but I'm curious what the consensus is for what the best options are for doing so right now.
I have some experience hosting servers at home in a "homelab" kind of context (mostly for stuff like Jellyfin, Samba, etc.), and I know how to spin up docker containers and administer a Linux computer decently for LAN use. Right now I use tailscale to access my homelab stuff remotely, but I don't know if that would work well in the context of hosting a public game server.
Generally I don't have much knowledge about safely exposing my local hardware to the wider internet for my circle of ~20 friends to join.
So basically I'm wondering what you all would do for hosting game servers if you were going to start today...
Would you use local hardware with port forwarding? Or would you go with a VPS (and if so, can you recommend one for North America)?
