im tryna get a mini pc and make it a streaming box, but i of course need a remote but the ones that actually look comfortable seem to have microphones in them, and i don’t think that i will take it apart to remove the microphone. So should i just not care since im gonna use it on linux or is there an easier way to remove/break the microphone?

also does the lg remote with the motion controlled cursor thingy work on every tv or does it need to be an lg?

Today’s game is Halo MCC. I played some 8v8 PvP with a friend. It felt good to be back playing Halo. Halo to me is that game that just feels right to play. I could come home and turn it on and it’s like this deep seated feeling that everything will be okay, because I’m in my place. I think it’s fascinating that a game can produce that kind of effect.

TF2 is like that too. But Halo seems to have captured my heart more recently, with the benefit of my friends liking it.

Anyways. 8v8. I love this game mode because it’s so large it feels like there’s always something to do. One minute you could be charging the enemy base. Get blasted. Then be fending off an attacker at your own base. It’s so full of action, I love it.

I found out for the first time ever that you can drive the elephant. I assumed there just wasn’t a way too drive it. It’s really cool that you’re able too, because I’ve always loved sort of mobile fortresses in gameplay. So having one in Halo is awesome.

I ended off with a 8v8 Assault game on Rat’s Nest. Not my go to map for assault but it was still great fun. I should really play social games more often to get that full 8v8 action, because I miss out on it when playing with my small group.

Maybe I’ll bring them along even to join me. We will absolutely get our assess handed us, but 90% of the experience is chilling and having a blast with my friends so I’m just happy to have them there with me.

This is a working fish farm in Creative Mode, that houses all 13 types of in-game fish.

Today’s game is Assassin’s Creed 3. I’ve been putting this off for a while. Mainly because all I’m really doing right now is finishing the last 20% of my last save. It’s mostly tedious work, collecting the damn feathers and stuff. But I’m making good progress. The collectibles are almost all done. And thankfully they’re no where near as bad as say, Unity.

While grabbing a view point I approached this lake and noticed this game’s oceans are uncomfortably barren. Like not in a bad way. It looks fine for a body of water in a Xbox 360 Era game. But there’s something unsettling about an open flat field of blue water. I kind of like it to be honest.

Another thing I like, this Waterfall? Had a chest behind it. Love me some hidden chest waterfalls. There’s something so satisfying about checking behind a waterfall to find a chest or like a cave or something. I hope there’s a few more because I’d love to find them.

Anyways, to end things off because there’s only so much I can talk about with collecting collectibles, I wanted to talk about this field. Absolutely horrid for parkour, obviously. But I love fields like this. There’s something about it that feels perfect for the setting that makes it feel like a perfect fit. If only there was a way to make it a good parkour area too

Today’s game is some more Pokemon Platinum. I’ve crawled my way all the way to the 7th gym today and stopped there. I spent a lot of time though working on filling out the Pokédex. There’s a ton of evolutions I can nab currently for the Dex that I’ve been training. I got some friends to play back to back with me so this really works out great as it gives them time to catch up to me.

On the subject of the main screenshot. When checking out the lake it got a a giggle out of me because all the Magikcarp flopping around. I really liked this one region where they were all clustered up. Like. Horrible that it happened to them but also really funny.

One thing I’ve noticed I like about Gen 4 is the Professor. Not to shit on the other ones but I really like him because he feels involved in what’s going on. I feel like all the others only really show up every once in a while. Meanwhile here we see him like out and about in the events of the story and stuff. Like when he went to see what happens at the lake.

Anyways. I’m at the snow gym now. Not a lot besides that has happened. I’ll probably spend tomorrow farming Pokemon for my Pokédex though. It’ll be nice to have them for my Dex ahead of time so I have less to farm post game.
